Get to know ~your ~ photographer

Now I'm Jess McGovern but formerly I was Jess Anderson - which makes soooo much more sense with my business name.  I've thought about re-branding but for now, I have a strong and loyal customer base who knows me as Photos With Anderson, so the name shall stay!

So who am I?

I’m a full time stay at home mom to my sweet 5 year old daughter Harper and my rambunctious 2 year old son Hudson! I am best friends with my husband's first wife Sam and together we are tackling homeschooling for our 11 year old daughter Aurora and 14 year old son Mason.  I am beyond blessed to have such an amazing co-parent to life with!

Photography has been a passion of mine since high school, and in 2019 I made my business official. Covid tried to slow me down for a bit, but things are in high gear at the moment.

I’m a freelance photographer partnered with Complete Weddings and Events in Lincoln. Between the weddings I have booked on my own, and the weddings I have booked through Complete, I average about 25 wedding bookings a year.

Although nothing beats the emotions I feel while capturing weddings, my real passion is Boudoir Photography. I absolutely love vibing with clients during their sessions and helping them see their beautiful and sexy selves!

So who am I?

I am an artist.

An artist who is open to learning how to improve themselves and their craft. An artist who pours her heart and soul into what she does.

This is me.

I’m a full time mom, full time artist, full time human. I’m not perfect. I’m messy. I’m sometimes forgetful. But I’m full of love, kindness and grace.

I’ve also got a huge hippy side to my soul that believes that grass is a waste of water and time, the bees are everything, fireworks are just dangerous pollution, and every human on earth deserves basic human rights and bodily autonomy.
